We are looking for a creative, organized leader to take the helm of our programs and events, turning massive convention halls into welcoming sanctuaries for our community.
ABOUT THE GIG
The quest is too big to tackle alone. The Adventurer’s Guild of Giving is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to defeating social isolation through the power of play. We build "third spaces" where gamers can step out of the shadows, find their party, and build real-world support systems.
As the Director of Programs & Events, you will sit on our Executive Board and work directly with the team to shape the future of the Guild. You’ll be the mastermind behind our immersive convention builds, such as GCX, and other local real-world meetups.
YOUR PRIMARY QUESTS
- Experience Design: Lead the design and execution of our physical spaces at major conventions. You'll make sure every puzzle, prop, and lounge area aligns with our core values of inclusion and collaborative victory.
- Team Leadership: Recruit, train, and manage the "Vanguard" volunteer team so they are ready to run the booth and guide new players on-site.
- Logistics & Operations: Coordinate with convention organizers, manage booth shipping/logistics, and ensure our activations are deployed smoothly.
- Board Governance: Attend monthly High Council meetings, collaborate on organizational strategy, and act as a public ambassador for the Guild’s mission.
YOUR CHARACTER BUILD (Qualifications)
- Professional or highly dedicated volunteer experience in event management, experiential marketing, or convention operations.
- A deep, genuine understanding of gaming culture and the content creator ecosystem.
- Strong leadership skills with a proven ability to organize and motivate teams remotely.
- A self-starter mentality. We are a growing sanctuary, and we need builders who are comfortable charting new territory and getting their hands dirty.
- Bonus XP: Previous experience organizing large-scale charity events or working within a nonprofit structure.
THE LOOT (What We Offer)
While this is an unpaid volunteer position, joining the High Council puts you on the ground floor of a rapidly growing nonprofit. You will gain official executive board experience, vastly expand your network within the gaming industry, and play a direct, measurable role in ensuring no one has to play the game of life solo.
